Your Role with The Company:
– You will dive into blueprints, sketches, or models to understand what materials you’ll need to create parts and bring ideas to life.
– Use your analytical skills to plan the layout and accurately measure and mark metal stock so that it’s ready for machining.
– Get hands-on setting up and operating a variety of machines, checking to make sure the parts you create match up to specifications.
– Assemble dies or molds, and if anything’s not quite right, you’ll troubleshoot and repair parts with finesse.
– Ensure safety and quality by following all ISO9001 procedures in your work and maintaining a clean and safe work area.
– Work closely with your supervisor and experienced team members to tackle any metal-forming challenges that come your way.
– This position reports to the Die Room Manager and will provide you the experience of demonstrating your ability to manage projects and effectively design dies. You will be in a high-profile position interfacing with several different functions within the company.
Background Profile:
– You should have a two-year certificate from a college or technical school, five years of relevant tool-making experience, OR a combination of both.
– Ability to read and make sense of safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
– Comfort with basic math concepts like geometry and an ability to apply fractions and percentages in real-world situations.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, even in situations that aren’t standard or straightforward.
– CAD experience – Solid works and 3D modeling preferred
– Blueprint reading and GD&T proficient
– Working knowledge of Gibbs CAM software
