Your Role with The Company:
– You will prepare detailed cost estimates for manufacturing projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
– Review technical drawings and customer needs to ensure your estimates are precise.
– Work closely with sales and engineering teams to confirm that your estimates are accurate and identify cost-saving options.
– Communicate with customers to clarify their requirements and resolve any estimates-related issues.
– Maintain an updated database of costs and suppliers to support efficient estimating.
This position reports to the Engineering Manager and will interact with many functions and all levels of the company to ensure accurate estimates throughout the project’s life cycle.

Background Profile:
– 10+ experience in estimating metal fabrication (Cutting, forming, machining, welding, finishing, and assembly).
– Experience in implementing standardized estimating processes and training team members on new methodologies to improve efficiency and accuracy is essential.
– Familiarity with estimation software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ERP systems and Paperless Parts).
– Experience with ERP systems is required, and familiarity with JobBoss, and Syspro is a plus.
– Team-oriented, approachable, respectful, and willing to engage with all levels of the company.
– An urgency to meet deadlines and a positive attitude toward collaboration are also important.
