Your Role with The Company:
– Leading the purchasing team in the procurement of commodities to ensure the best balance of cost, quality, and delivery
– Developing and implementing commodity strategies
– Researching and recommending vendors to mitigate risk, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating purchasing agreements
– Evaluating any material shortages and implementing necessary corrective actions
– Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure the make vs buy decisions are executed in the best interest of the organization
– Coaching and mentoring the team, ensuring they have the tools to meet daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs
– This position reports to the Purchasing Manager and will interact with many functions of the company so your success will be recognized!

Background Profile:
– 7+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment with complex, multi-level BOMs
– Strong knowledge and experience with SAP
– Leadership experience with direct reports
– Experience sourcing in an OEM environment
– Proven ability to track commodity pricing and implement risk mitigation strategies
– Experience with contract negotiations, cost reduction, and cost avoidance
– Bachelor’s Degree preferred, equivalent experience will be considered
