Your Role with The Company:
– You will oversee the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems, ensuring forecasts are accurate, planning rates align with corporate forecasts, and inventory codes are diligently maintained.
– Develop, implement, and periodically audit receiving and inventory procedures to enhance the accuracy and organization of materials.
– Conduct thorough evaluations of company purchases, consistently searching for alternative sourcing options that drive down costs.
– Collaborate with Engineering to assess new suppliers and explore potential design modifications for cost efficiency.
– Provide guidance and training to purchasing and material control teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement in production flow and material availability.
– Identify and assess obsolescence risks, aiming for improved cash flow through minimized inventory levels and refined purchasing processes.
– This position reports to the CEO and will interact with many functions of the company so your success will be recognized!
Background Profile:
– 7+ years in strategic procurement and materials management for manufacturing
– Leadership experience with direct reports
– Experience sourcing and qualifying new suppliers
– Strong supplier management skills – proven ability to increase their capabilities, and build stronger partnerships.
– Experience leading continuous improvement projects to improve supply chain efficiencies.
– Analytical with the proven ability to drive cost reductions and enhance inventory turns.
– ERP experience
– Willingness to /familiarity with living in a rural community
