Your Role with The Company:
– Leadership: plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the maintenance, tooling, and manufacturing engineering departments, facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization.
– Cross-Functional Collaboration:Engage collaboratively with fellow manufacturing managers and executive leadership to establish and evaluate strategic priorities across various operational teams, fostering a unified approach to our manufacturing objectives.
– Cost Analysis and Process Improvement: Conducting comprehensive assessments of manufacturing processes to evaluate cost-effectiveness and feasibility. Developing and implementing strategic recommendations aimed at optimizing resource utilization, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall efficiency.
– Tooling Operations Management: Oversee and manage tooling operations with a focus on precision, ensuring that all activities adhere to established quality and safety standards. Implement best practices to maintain operational integrity and efficiency.
– Project Oversight and Coordination: Provide expert guidance and oversight during the planning and execution of plant renovations and expansion projects. Coordinate effectively with external contractors and vendors to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
– Maintenance Support and Leadership Collaboration: Collaborate with Maintenance personnel and relevant leadership to support the development and execution of maintenance programs and activities, ensuring operational reliability and performance continuity.
– Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all manufacturing operations comply with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including adherence to EPA and OSHA standards. Regularly review and update compliance protocols as necessary.

Background Profile:
– Demonstrated robust experience in machining processes, with a proven track record in optimizing machining techniques and workflows.
– A minimum of five years of progressive supervisory experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred, with a focus on team leadership and development.
– In-depth understanding of plant engineering, industrial engineering principles, and tooling applications, enabling effective decision-making in manufacturing operations.
– Profound knowledge of production machining and turning processes, specifically related to ductile iron, ensuring high-quality manufacturing output.
– Proven capability in designing and developing CNC production fixturing, contributing to enhanced productivity and precision in manufacturing.
– Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail, essential for managing complex engineering tasks and documentation.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, assess potential solutions, and implement effective strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
– Excellent leadership capabilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative team environment while driving performance and accountability.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications for budget preparation, record-keeping, and data analysis.
– Experience with GibbsCam software is preferred, providing an additional advantage in CNC programming and machining operations.
