Business Development Manager – Manufacturing

POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position reports to the Director of Sales and Marketing and will provide you with the responsibilities of:
• Growing sales with existing customers and developing new business with clients that fit their capabilities
• Continually prospect for new accounts and close on new business based on annual goals.
• Liaising between engineering and the customer during all phases of the sale
• Providing timely feedback on the status and competitive nature of quotes.
• Assuring that customer issues are addressed in a timely fashion and be the “quarterback” when issues arise
• Communicating and interacting effectively and efficiently with employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations and customers.
• Participate in professional staff development.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
An excellent candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience in outside industrial sales with technical products selling to OEM’s.
• Bachelor’s degree B.S/B.A. or work equivalent in sales and marketing.
• Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to stay organized, plan ahead and execute the plan
• Strong reasoning, analytical and technical skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office Suite and Excel user.
